Successful Workplaces Movement

The Successful Workplaces Movement combines research, policy, resources and programming in order to create the systemic changes needed to build supportive and successful workplaces. A Successful Workplace is one that embraces and practices diversity, equity and work life balance. Use our Successful Workplaces Guidelines to redefine your workplace.

Creating systemic, sustainable change requires collaboration with employers and policy makers to include public policy and voluntary practices. In order to transform today's workplace, BPW Foundation focuses on innovative practices, public policy and sustainability as they pertain to workplace policy; and women veterans and young careerists as vital groups to rebuild and strengthen businesses as well as communities through workforce development.

Women in Transition
BPW Foundation understands that support for working women at crucial points in their lives enables them to help themselves. It is through this lens that BPW Foundation works to achieve its mission. BPW Foundation research revealed three, types of career transitions for women.

BPW Foundation sponsors education and professional development opportunities for working women at all stages of their careers and leadership level. Research is conducted to obtain snapshots of the career transition issues of key groups of working women, such as women veterans and Generations X and Y or young careerists. Such research is disseminated to partners and policy makers to develop resources that support the needs of working women throughout their careers.
