February 7-10, 2007 Become a change agent by learning how political issues, research and your voice on Capitol Hill informs and influences public policy. Understand how the leadership of women can create policy change and how the new Congress will affect workingwomen's issues. Through workshops and dynamic speakers, explore how you can impact public policy. Apply this knowledge and become a political leader at any level of government or in your community.BPW/USA sponsored a full day on Capitol Hill. Attendees attended a plenary panel discussing important legislation affecting women's issues and then personally spoke with their Members of Congress about BPW/USA's legislative priorities. BPW Foundation sponsored a special policy event, Building Policy Together. This education day was developed for workingwomen, policy makers and employers. Both lobby and special education days were eligible for Continuing Educations Units (CEUs) through Morgan State University. |
