Business and Professional Women/USA Launches Women and Veteran Friendly Job Board

WASHINGTON, DC, JUNE 1, 2006 — Today Business and Professional Women/USA launched a job board customized to showcase employers with women and veteran friendly practices: BPW/USA Career Center. This is the only online job service created specifically as a resource to workingwomen and women veterans as the transition in their careers.

“BPW/USA Career Center was created to assist workingwomen with varying levels of experience and education identify employers with policies that promote their career advancement and work-life effectiveness,” said Debbie Frett, CEO for BPW/USA and BPW Foundation. “This resource enables BPW/USA to not only further its mission but to build relationships with employers that support that mission, as well as workingwomen and transitioning veterans.”

Registered employers can highlight their company’s benefits and policies that support women and veterans in the workplace and benefit from online reporting that provides job activity statistics. They can also post jobs online, search for qualified candidates based on specific job criteria and create an online resume agent to email qualified candidates daily.
