Veterans' Resiliency Model (VRM) Training
June 25- 27, 2010
Philadelphia Veterans Multi-Service & Employment Center, Phila., PA
Learn How To Support & Help Heal Women Veterans. Elaine Miller-Karas, MSW and Laurie Leitch, PhD will lead this intensive 3-day training. VRM training is designed to teach skills that stabilize the nervous system and reduce and prevent the symptoms of traumatic stress, particularly dealing with combat-zone trauma. Attendees will include social workers, clinicians, college counselors, VA hospital staff and those who impact the lives of women veterans.
Business and Professional Women’s (BPW) Foundation Young Careerist (YC) Research Project
BPW Foundation asks Gen Y women about their views of the workplace and shares knowledge with employers looking to recruit and retain young women, as well as improve their bottom line. Check us out on The Huffington Post.

BPW Foundation Funds Four Community Green Job Initiatives

Business and Professional Women’s (BPW) Foundation's “Moving from Red to Green: Working Women in the Green Economy” initiative, connects women to the emerging green economy by providing green job training. With generous support from the Walmart Foundation, BPW Foundation has awarded $60,000 grants to four organizations to expand their capacity to train women for green jobs.
